Silent Auction and Members' Boutique Donations
Once again, your generosity is being counted on to help us create an amazing Silent Auction and Members Boutique for all those attending the Show. For the 2020 show, we will be collecting donations at one spot for both show events at the beginning of each Guild meeting.
At each Guild meeting, members donating items will be given a ticket for a wonderful prize. The draw will take place the last meeting before the show. The prize in 2018 was such a hit we've decided to offer the same experience for the lucky winner and three friends in 2020. Our winner and friends will enjoy a day of fun and sewing under the leadership one of our great teachers, Helen Blaskievich. Snacks and lunch will be provided, laughter and fun are guaranteed!
To raise money to contribute to show costs and other Guild activities, the Silent Auction requires items of slightly higher value, Members Boutique donations can be items in good shape that have quilting and crafting potential. Collecting at one drop off point will allow us to sort the donations to go to the appro-priate show event.
The following are some suggestions; but don't let this limit your search for items that would be greatly appreciated in new homes:
I've already started at home by setting aside a box for donations in my sewing area and as I come across an item I can happily live without, I put it in the box. Don't think every item has to be big enough to of-fer for sale on its own. We will make beautiful baskets for the silent auction with assorted collected items. Thanks in advance for any contributions you make.
- Completed projects, for examples, small quilts, bags (large and small), wall hangings, runners, assorted small projects e.g. microwave bowl cozies, small quilts etc.
- Unused kits for quilts, runners, bags, embroider/cross stitch etc.
- Cotton fabric lengths, fat quarters, 5" or 10" square packages
- New or good as new notions, eg. thread, rulers, patterns, etc.
- Items that were gifts, prizes or items you thought were a good idea but you can't remember what that was now.

How can I help?
Volunteers are needed in all areas from setup/take down, to admissions, white glove, making/setting up signs, decorating, demonstrating your skills, etc...
Look for sign-up sheets at each meeting, or contact one of the show chairs.
Also, you can help by donating items for the member's boutique and silent auction.
AND MOST ESPECIALLY, SUBMIT YOUR QUILTS! THIS IS YOUR QUILT SHOW! LET'S SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE!
